GREETINGS! I AM Z-CAR FANATIC FROM EASTON, CT. I HAVE WORKED FOR NISSAN (DEALERS) FOR ALMOST 18 YEARS AND HAVE BEEN DRIVING "DATSUNS" SINCE 1973. MY FIRST CAR WAS A BRIGHT YELLOW 510 COUPE. (MANUAL). I BOUGHT THE CAR USED WITH 81K ON IT AND A BLOWN DIFFERENTIAL. THREW A USED DIFF AND A NEW CLUTCH IN THE CAR AND DROVE IT ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. I LOVED THE LITTLE RUST BUCKET!! LITTLE BLUE F10 COUPE AFTER THAT. (FWD...NOT A BAD CAR, THOUGH.) MY FIRST "Z" WAS A 1972 240. MY FATHER OWNED A FIAT DEALER AND TOOK IT ON TRADE. (THE GUY MUST HAVE BEEN NUTS!!) LOVE FOREVER AFTER FIRST MILE. 280ZX NEXT.(ANNIVERSARY BLACK/GOLD). '89 300ZX COUPE,(SILVER). '93 Z32 2+2.(FIRE ENGINE RED-AUTO.) AND FINALLY; THE LOVE OF MY LIFE... '95 300ZX CONVERTIBLE. ALL BLACK. EVERY OPTION NISSAN MADE. CHROME RIMS. MY BABY! GOOD TO BE WITH YOU GUYS!!

HI BOB! And it's great to have you among us! It was good meeting you at the May meeting in Old Saybrook and I regret not having more time to just sit and gab with you then. That's OK ~ there will be plenty more opportunities in the future.

You just described the very same thing that happens to each of us when we find our first Z car ~ love forever after the first mile. (I think that aught to be a Club slogan, or a Datsun/NISSAN advertiZement).

As you heard at the meeting, we have LOTS of fun events in store for this Zeason, and I suspect we'll see your smiling face at most of them :D .
The fact that you're a NISSAN worker is significant to me. You believe in your product. I chooZe to believe that if you worked for a Ford dealer, you'd still own a Z car!

Our member Dan Linquist in Washington State is a factory-trained Datsun mechanic with many years of wrench turning on the old Z cars, and after a full and rather exciting life, he's choZen to restore car #01651 as his retirement project. Just something about these cars that never leaves you once you're exposed to them. Sort of an Indelible Thumbprint.

Well, we've all got the same obsession, so you're in the right asylum! You now have 251 brothers and sisters to compare symptoms with!

WELCOME ABOARD my friend, and thank you for joining us!

Z ya!
