Hi, my name is Jim Jackson(bellmore, long island) and I should have done this along time ago or at least when I joined the club back in the late summer last year.

I was the guy at the fall outing that won the Bob Sharp poster(hanging on my living room wall(God bless the wife), anyways.
I just wanted to say hey and I can't wait for the club to get rolling again.
Wish for an early spring and rain to wash all the salt away so we can start driving our Z's again. Don't know if I will be able to make feb 7.

Also I am looking for another Z, a daily driver.
I will post this in the wanted section.
thanks,
Jim Jackson

Jim, I am so glad to "hear" you in here! I'm sure you've seen the great pictures of you and Bob Sharp at last October's picnic. You sure look happy.

Your wife deserves credit for letting you hang that big poster in your livingroom ~ mine would have demanded I put it up in the garage.

Don't know which model Z you're looking for, but our member KatherineMbra had two ZX cars she was offering this past summer. She's trying to move and can't take everything with her. On the Memberlist, she's member number 40. You can PM her if you're interested.

Also contact member AirJockie. He always has a few cars under construction and might be persuaded to let go of one.

Frank

I just wanted to say thank u to everybody
that helped me.
I ended up finding a car I did not think I would want, but after seeing and driving it.I found my search to be over.
I realized that I was not going to find a 1st gen or 2 gen z
this clean for the money so I went with a
1989 300zx 5spd (dark grey)not sure of correct color name
super clean and no rust
for the price I was willing to spend :D

Thanks again, Jim Jackson

Hey Jim, welcome to the club... you were the lucky posterwinner eh?.. that is a beauty and you've definitely got a good woman there.. On that 89 you got just make sure it has had the timing belt changed, that is key on the Z31 and Z32 cars, belt breaks and the motor usually goes with it.... Enjoy, Tom Wasney

Good work Jim ~ let us see some pix of your new D/D in the MEMBER RIDES gallery when you get a chance?

You're right ~ 1st generation Zs today START at/abt $3000 if they're intact, altho some people (CLIVE!) get lucky every so often. (I even got one for free recently, but it was a parts car).

One of the (many) good things about owning a ZX is that just about every third person on the planet has one or has owned one in their lifetime, so there should be plenty of spares and advice available if you need any.

Glad it worked out for you.

Frank
