Hi everyone, Name is Jon in southern CT, my dad had 2 Z's when I was a kid and I've loved them ever since. When a buddy of mine offered to sell me this one for 500 bucks I had to get it. Needs some major TLC but man does it feel great to finally own one. I'm working on getting pics up. Look forward to hearing all of your input.

Hi Jon, and welcome aboard!

Glad to hear a story about someone who wanted a Z all his life and finally got his wish :D There are a HUNDRED trouble spots with these cars, but a THOUSAND exciting and rewarding elements about them. This Club is all about the exchange of information, parts and encouragement for those of us fortunate enough to drive the most popular Sports-GT car in world history.

The Z car will "turn 40" in October of 2009. That's when they were first introduced to the USA. Since then there have been more Z cars made than any other brand of sportscar in the world ~ more than all the Jaguars, more than all the Porsches, more than all the MGs, Alfas, and Austin Healeys, and some of those car makes go back into the 1930s. So you have an eye for machinery.

Which Z did you get?

O'boy, you in for it now. :) :D Welcome to the club, and a car that can be an addiction. To me it's a mechanical masterpiece, for a good price, and that alows you to own more than just one, well, if your a real Z nut. The only fault is rust as we all know, more so up north. Those Z guys down south make me jelous. Good place to buy them, but you'll find some rust, but very minimal. Good luck with her, and tell us more.
