Hey Jim,
As a fellow Black Pearl owner let me be the first to offically welcome you to the club! It's great to have you and your car aboard. I hope you will try to make the trip down to our Fall Outing on October 18th. It would be great to meet you in person after all these years (Jim and I go way back!). Ross

Welcome Jim. Wow, a black Pearl, nice. I'm down by Newport and planning the trip for the 18th, hope you can make it. Unless you don't want to put any more miles on her. Wow again, that's some low miles, I bet she's realy nice. Good resone to have a daily driving Z. 1 is not enough.

Hey Jim,
Glad you are planning to attend our October event. I can't wait to see your car up close. It is amazing that two of these low mileage beauties survived. Mine has 35k original miles and I am hoping to have the original stripe kit (that I have had in my basement for 5 years) applied prior to the event. I bought a NOS OEM set of mirrors off e-bay and had them installed last Spring. My car always had the original louvers. Should be great!!! Ross

Hey Ross, I have a problem w\ my mirrors. Both are falling off the ball and socket and are sloppy. I just engaged someone from Texas that may be able to fix them... I have an extra stripe kit as well, we probably bought them from the same person at the same time... Kathy for Cali?...
My stripes are in fairly good shape, but i have made a few mistakes due to my laziness...taking it through a car wash...etc. Oh well, it moves and although it looks good, i bought it to drive! I am originally from CT, so I really enjoy those CT back roads... I still have a land speed record (unofficial) around Lake Waramaug in New Preston in my dad's 260 in 1974. This kind of site really sparks my memories. My dad owned a 260 and a ZX and the Black Pearl is my second 280z. I think I will ask my dad to join me in Oct for the party!

Maybe I should bring my mirrors, just in case, you never know.

Jim, as Membership Director I couldn't be happier with your entrance!

You seem to have made truckloads of friends already, and you haven't even been here yet! I can only imagine how much fun you're going to have meeting everyone at the picnic.

I guess it's safe to bet that you will have a reserved parking space within conversational distance of Ross' Pearl, huh? 8)

Welcome aboard Jim ~ we're all looking fwd to meeting you.

Frank T
