Welcome--from Bob Sharp--Having become a consultant to Nissan Darien last September and re-meeting Ross Williams shortly thereafter and attending his well done year end Car Show and cook-out, I have enjoyed working with Bill Steinmetz and Ross. My involvement with Datsun began in 1963. I was chosen to race the semi-factory backed Datsun 1500 Roadster (Fairlady), to be raced by Greenwich-- Rambler-Datsun Dealer- Paul Bruk & Son. In 1964, I started Bob Sharp Racing (as a factory-backed Race Team) and fielded a Datsun 1500 and a Datsun 1600..To shorten a 10 page essay---this led to Datsun 2000's--Datsun 240 Z's and 510's, Turbo 300's, a Monster 940 HP IMSA-GT Racer.--Jim Fitzgerald, Paul Newman, Tom Cruise, Walter Payton, Sam Posey, and my son Scott Sharp--were years of "fun history"...I will look forward to discussing many of these experiences with you...thanks...Bob Sharp

Somewhere in my piles of old photos I have a reasonably good snapshot of you drifting either the Clubhouse at The Glen or a hard right at Elkhart Lake, pursued by a snarling swarm of BMWs. I've been searching for it since I met you in April. If I come across it I'll share.
