NYZCC Loses Events Director and Family in Tragic Fire: We wish to express our sincerest condolences to the NYZCC after the passing of their Events Director, Tommy Sullivan and three other family members in a devastating house fire Tuesday night. In addition to serving as an officer of the NYZCC, Tommy was a frequent participant at CTZCC events, attending many of our events and meetings. The loss of this fine man and three other cherished family members is a devastating one to the Z community and the many other circles and organizations in which they were beloved and admired. The funeral is set for 9 a.m. Saturday at St. James the Apostle Church on 14 Gleneida Avenue in Carmel, NY. Clive Bogle, President of the NYZCC states "we plan to attend the funeral with our Z cars to show support from NYZCC and would love if CTZCC can do the same. There will be a gathering after for lunch, so please come on out if you can." Several of us plan to join the NYZCC and we encourage as many CTZCC members as possible to show up - preferably in your Z. For more information, please visit http://nyzcc.com/component/jmrphpbb/topic/776?f=28 or http://forums.ctzcc.com/viewtopic.php?t=6806.

Tommy Sullivan Memorial Fun Run: The NYZCC will hold a memorial fun run on Saturday May 19th, which will be a rain or shine cruise around the Hudson River. There will be NYZCC t-shirts available to be worn for the event and all proceeds from the sales of the shirts will be sent to Tommy Jr. For more information please see: http://nyzcc.com/component/jmrphpbb/wha ... 5114#p5114

Prior Month's Meeting: Our first meeting of the season was held on April 11th at RDZ Motorsports in Danbury. Many thanks to Rich Amatulli and Scott Cole for playing hosts to a full capacity crowd. With approximately 50 folks in attendance it was a great way to kick off the season and learn about what Check out photos, compliments of Phil Parent, at: https://picasaweb.google.com/philctzcc/ ... 1631999650

The show will benefit the families of Firefighters and Police who were impacted by 9/11, with proceeds being donated to THE GEAR UP FOUNDATION. The event classes will include Nissan Z's, GTR'S, Infiniti G's, Q's, M's, BMW's, Corvettes, Mini Coopers, Hot Rods and Custom Bikes.
