While it pains me to say this, your Officers have decided to take a breather from running a car show this year. If you've ever run a show, or helped, you may know that there is a lot of planning and prior coordination involved. It actually takes about two to three months of advance effort to put on a good show. With my change in jobs last summer came unexpected challenges and I am simply streched too thin of late. Our other officers are also stretched thin with job and family commitments. So the show "must go" instead of "go on".

You still have the Cruise and Soar, Lime Rock Day with Bob Sharp and the Fall Outing to look forward to! And of course our monthly meetings.

This was a hard decision we had to make, since the car show has always been one of our best attended events and a lot of Fun. While we are taking a year off, we will continue to put our heads together to figure out how we can streamline the planning for a future CTZCC show.

In leiu of our show let's look for another car show out there were we can show up in #'s and win a "best club" award.

And in the meantime, we'll see you at some meetings, fun runs, Bob Sharp Limerock Day, Fall Outing., etc.

Z you soon.

Well that sucks. With 500 members is there anyone to help keep the show going..................Volunteers anyone.........I can do something, like park Z cars..............anyone else. Or like John says, we can just all meet in Rochester. but whats a club with out a show. so send out all the resposibilities, and maybe some can handle this. :D

Hi guys. The problem is not with volunteers. We are fortunate to have plenty of volunteers to help out on the day of the show. The problem is that we need someone who has previously run a large event to handle all of the up front coordination. Its a big job and commitment of time and energy.

"In leiu of our show let's look for another car show out there were we can show up in #'s and win a "best club" award."

I'll second John's motion and help nominate the ZCCR 3-Day All 'bout Fun in Carz week-end as a fine alternative activity for y'all to consider!

Ross, we know exactly where you're coming from, these shows take a lot of "doing" to have them "done" right! We here in the Finger Lakes Region of NY have always admired your club's activities and the fine turnouts for special events.

Let's make this an "eaZy" event for CTZCC's summertime enjoyment. Our registration http://www.zccr.net/main/Uploaded/2011_ ... n_Form.pdf & our poster http://www.zccr.net/main/Uploaded/2011_ ... ster_1.pdf are here.

Word to the wise ... the hotel was booking so quickly that we've just (kindly) seen them expand our block of rooms - there's really no doubt they'll all be snapped-up soon.

ZCCR would LOVE to have CTZCC represented in quantities here to fore unheard of! (And we've more trophy's than you can shake a stick at if that's your passion).

LETTHEGOODTIMESROLL ...

Mike Noonan, VP ZCCR, Rally Route Planner for the Scramble to Watkins Glen International Race Track ... and all 'round good guy

Well ok, it is what it is. Don't stress it. So now we just need to move onto the Rochester show. We need at least 200 CTZCC members to show up. This show gets better every year, I highly suggest you attend this. Friday is always a good time, Saturday is one awesome show, and Sunday is just pure out the best time ever. if you like country drives in your Z car that is........and O, a few laps at the Glen as well. I can't wait. :D :D :D I'm already booked at the hotel, just have to send the show form in, I will procrastically get that out soon. Well I'll see some at the cruise, and the rest at the Fall Outing.........and maybe our officers can learn some of us there technics so we can have back up club officers to keep the show going. I agree it would probably be hectik to wing the show this year, despite volunteers, because we realy don't know what to do besides parking our Z's and talking about Z's, and looking at Z's, getting prizes for our Z's, ect..... :D  PS. Thanks Ross and officers for all the great things you DO for this club, keep up the good work.

We're fixin' to haul ol' Lucky 13 up there again this year, and this year
in even better condition than before. (But not as good as John and
Kim's #03833-- that was never our objective!)

Not sure whether to go the "scenic route" out I84 and Rte 17 thru
Binghamton, and up 390 to Rochester (there was a lot of road con-
struction and maintenance last year). Or whether to just "bite the
bullet" and cough up about $30 each way for 4 axles, by taking I91
north, then the Mass Pike and the NY State Thruway.

Would like to get advice, and also to see if I could marshal up some
front and rear protection for the trip.

All Z Best,...............................Kathy & Rick
