Well the weather has finally turned and we already have a few gatherings under our belt. Hopefully you attended our April meeting at Grossman Nissan, RDZ's "Follow the Z", or Big Al's lakeside retreat. If we haven't seen you yet, it's time to for you and your Z to make an appearance. We have a jam-packed calendar of both CTZCC and Partner-club events this season, including our regular monthly meetings held the second Wednesday of each month through October.

Upcoming Meeting: Our second meeting of the season will be held this Wednesday, May 11th at 7:00pm at Executive Nissan in North Haven, CT. (900 Universal Dr., North Haven, CT, 06473, 203-672-6000 http://www.executivenissan.com/location-hours.aspx). We can thank Frank for developing the relationship with our friends at Executive and for leading this meeting. As usual, pizza and drinks will be provided. For more information go to: http://forums.ctzcc.com/viewtopic.php?t=5881

Second Annual East Coast Z Nationals: Once again, five Northeast Z clubs are joining together for the East Coast Nationals to take place within the Carlisle Import Car Show on May 21st. Join friends from the East Coast Z Association, White Rose Z Club, NJ Z Car Club, Maryland Z Car Club and our own club at the Carlisle Fairgrounds in Carlisle, PA. For more information go to http://www.ctzcc.com/East%20Coast%20Z%2 ... 0flyer.pdf and http://forums.ctzcc.com/viewtopic.php?t=5664.

RDZ Motorsports Dyno Day: How powerful is your car? Wanna find out? On Saturday, June 4th, RDZ will be organizing a Dyno day at their sister shop Mongillo Motors, 34 Fulton Street, New Haven, CT 06513. Registration begins at 9:45am and dyno'ing starts at 10:00am - 3 pulls for $75. Awards for Highest Horsepower Naturally Aspirated and Forced Induction in respective classes. WIN a FREE Dyno tuning section a $600 value (details at the event). Call to pre-register and secure your spot ($25 non-refundable deposit) 203-628-7725 or email Steve@RDZ300.com and put “Dyno Day” as the subject. Do not delay as they expect this event to fill up quickly. All vehicle makes welcome. (straight pulls on this date only - no tuning).

Cruise & Soar for Colinslaw.org: One of the most unique and memorable Z events I've ever attended is back on the calendar! The weekend event starts Friday afternoon at 3:00pm, June 24th, with a Z-car rally and display next to Narragansett beach. At 5:00pm the RI Air National Guard performs a “teaser” Beach-Front Air show. At 6:30pm there will be a beer & wine reception and at 7:30pm the Dinner Buffet will begin. Saturday morning, June 25th, all participating Z cars will travel in parade formation to the RIANG Quonset Air Show where Z cars will be put on display in a secure flight-ramp area to watch and experience one of the country's premiere air shows. The show will wrap up at about 4:00pm with a performance by the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Team.

Please note that registered CTZCC members (regardless of what state you live in) have early registration privileges. There are only about 30 spaces on the airfield so if you want to be included, register soon!!

This is both a great event and a great cause. All net proceeds go to ColinsLaw.org to promote driver safety education, intersection safety controls and related legislation. If your wallet can handle it, I encourage you to send in a check for more than the amount due on the registration form.

2011 Schedule of Events: We've made a few updates to our 2011 schedule so make sure you check the latest calendar at http://www.ctzcc.com/schedule.html.

Hope to see everybody this Wednesday!!!

Sincerely, Ross
