I want to apologize to each member I haven't really gotten to know
that well, so far. I try very hard to interact and socialize with every-
body in the Club as best I know how, as well as to share whatever Z
Car history and knowledge I might have accumulated, when asked.

But as I looked around the showroom last night at the members seated
around me, I had to admit to myself that I must be doing a pretty poor
job of it: there were several members that I could not recall having met
nor spoken to before; others that I recognized by sight but could not
place their names nor their cars; and still others that I actually called
by the wrong name!!!! Now that is a pretty sad testimony.

So, I hope y'all will forgive me for my laxity and ineptitude. I also hope
you will help me by coming up to me and Kathy, introducing yourself,
and helping me to form a relationship.

We really do have something in common, whether the prefix is 240,
260, 280, 300, 350, 370, 1600, 2000, 510, or anything else in between.
That should at least give us a good starting point, no?

All Z Best,................................Kathy & Rick

Good point, Rick. There was a brief time (just before we met you!) when I could ID every member of the CTZCC by sight, and match them up to their Zs in the lot. After #13 was 'discovered', we had such in influx of new members (THANK YOU!) that it has become harder and harder to do that.

That's why we use the HELLO name tags, and this year we are stressing that everyone's SCREEN NAME has to be visible.

Don't feel bad ~ there are now 514 members in the Club, and you get to zee them MAYBE two doZen times a year. I probably know a higher percentage of members by sight than most of us do, 'cause of my direct contact with each new join. But we're still talking about 500+ names, faces, and carz! (Wait 'till you get my age, Rick! It'll become even harder for ya! )

Maybe you can rest better, knowing that each of us knows you!

Frank

Thank you for the encouragement, Frank; I appreciate your kind words
very much. But I promise to try harder to do better all the same.
As you would say, "I LOVE THIS CLUB!!" and I want to do everything
I can to make members, new AND old, to feel welcome. Also, to
help embody that "slogan" from the home page: "To make owning a
Z a more pleasant experience."

All Z Best,.................~Rick~ (and Kathy, of course)
