Congratulations and thank you (YET AGAIN) to Paul Mackin who, at 10:58 today made this Club's NINETEEN THOUSANDTH POST!!!

Paul added a bit of humor to a TECH TALK discussion about a sticking brake light switch, and pushed our counter over the 19,000 mark.

It took us only 27 days to Post this most-recent 1,000 articles! We hit the 18,000 mark on 03Sep. This is great momentum for such a small Club, and shows how active and enthusiastic we are as a community.

This is the THIRD TIME Paul has earned this distinction! In days gone by, he has also been recogniZed for Posting our 10,00th (January) and 15,000th (June) entries.

After consulting with the other CTZCC Officers in an Executive meeting, we will announce how we intend to recogniZe Paul's stellar achievement this time around!

Congratulations Paul, and thank you, AGAIN!

Frank T

Frank correct me if i am wrong but the counter is at the bottom of the forum screen. i was watching as it neared 19000. both me and Paul made the 19000 and 19001 posts at the same time. 10:40am. so since there is no seconds there is no way of telling who made the 19000th post first. so it's a tie. :D

You're right Mike ~ our old Series-1 counter doesn't allow two entries in the same minute. Each entry gets its own minute. The later Digital Dashboard Series-2 counters distinguish second-to-second, but we couldn't afford one of those. Hey ~ this is a free Club; we can only afford so much.

However, I show Paul making entries at 10:58 and 10:59, those being Posts 18,999 and 19,000. Yours show up at 18,998 and 19,001.

Are you guyz in competition or something???

I suspect ol' Paul has figured out the system and is becoming pretty proficient at hitting the gopher on the head when he pops up out of his hole!

You're just gonna have to develop a quicker trigger finger to beat him next time!!!

And Wild Bill is probably smarter than the rest of us combined (or else he has adopted an Air Force mentality) ~ he had full Target Awareness and just Blanket-Bombed the whole website to make sure he saturated the target!!! (Hey, it worked!) 8)

Keep at it ~ you'll hit it eventually. Law of averages, you know?

I'm sure Jim's web site activity logs could break the tie if need be. We don't want fist fights at the outing next week!

Well Paul, your Club Officers spent the day in Executive Session, debating how to honor you for this most-recent achievement. For about 3 hours it looked like the most-appropriate action would be to award you one dollar for each of the entries this landmark represents. We all voted for that, but after writing you a check for $19,000, we checked the pitiful CTZCC bank account and laughed. Instead, we were forced to pry open the rusted doors of our Spare Partz Bin to zee if there might be anything in there you could uze.

SO ~ in recognition of your constant dedication to the Club and repeated contributions to this website, we are awarding you with the most-precious Z part left on our shelves ~

You are now the owner of a brand-new, still-in-the-bag, never used, MSA glovebox insert for the Series-1 Z carz!

We can mail it to you, or you can collect it at the upcoming 5th Annual Fall Outing picnic at Ross' house?

Thanks again, and congratulations! :D

Frank

HaHa! I looked at the post count last night at midnight my time and 2 on the east coast. The count was only 12 posts away and I thought I could easily come up with 12 useless things to say but that just wouldn't be fair. So I decided to sit back and let someone else get it  . At least that's the story i'm sticking with!

Paul, we sent your glove box insert along to you via Robin Foote. He attended the Annual Fall Outing picnic while you were busy entertaining family guests there in RI. You and Robin should contact each other and arrange to get your glovebox from him.

Thanks again for your continuous support of the Club!

Ok, thanks. Sorry I missed both big club events, some good meetings, and it bums me out...........but if that club shirt is hanging up in the Dragons Den, I suppose I fulfilled my duties and earned my glove box, Thanks. For a better year next year, I think I'm donZ for this year. 240 is in the air.......demodifying my exhaust, but still be cool. 8) Also doing some other things to it, but time is now being spent doing a roofing job for my Father, then finish building our fireplace........ Some day I will go from busy busy, to just busy.
