It's time to count our Zs.

As I announced at our Sept meeting, your Club Officers try diligently to keep track of the statistics about the CTZCC. One of the data fields we use counts the number of Zs our members claim as their 1st, 2nd or 3rd carz.

Current stats show 521 individual Zs in our collective "stable", but that number is old. I know, for example, that Jim Frederick owns at least 20 240Zs, but he only listed ONE (Car #16) on his application when he joined the Club. (Sorry to single you out Jimbo, but you were the best example that came to mind).

I know other members have bought second or even third Zs since joining (Rick and Kathy, or Bev and John, for example.....and I doubt Paul even knows how many Zs he owns!)

SO ~ here's the deal. Our Club Photographer (Phil Parent) has bravely volunteered to collect incoming data about our members' Zs and enter those new numbers into the Club Database. Please take a moment to e-mail him with your updated information. If your number of Zs has not changed since you registered with the CTZCC, there is no need to contact Phil. Your information remains unchanged.

If you have added or subtracted any number of Zs in your personal Paddock, please send Phil that updated info.

WE ARE NOT (NOT) INTERESTED IN YOUR CARS' VIN NUMBERS! (unless you own one of those very early 2-or-3 digit midgets. Those classic Zs should be recogniZed on our rolls).

The info we use is:

YEAR (Any Z built on or before 31Dec69 is listed as a "1969" Z. Roadsters or 510s are listed as the year they were actually made).

MODEL
(240, 260, 280, ZX, Convertible, 2+2, Fairlady, Roadster, NISMO, racer-only, parts car, etc. Stuff which distinguishes your Z from others of the same year).

STATE or FOREIGN COUNTRY
(We keep data on the number of states or countries our members have cars in).

EXAMPLE: Here's how you should send Phil your data:

1. Frank Thomas, 1970 240Z, CT.
2. Subtract the 1971 240Z parts car, which has been sold.

Please send this info to:

Phil@CTZCC (dot) com.

We will continue to update this info as accurately as possible.

In keeping with the CTZCC privacy policy, NO PERSONAL INFORMATION should be included in this info (addresses, VIN numbers, Plate numbers, etc). We're only interested in statistically counting the cars in their proper categories.

*NO PERSONAL INFO in the CTZCC database is available to the public, nor is it shared, sold or divulged to anyone without prior individual knowledge and consent of the owner.*

PLEASE NOTE: We only compile data on Zs, Roadsters, and 510s! Please spare us the info about your Cadillacs, Ferraris, Neons, G-35s, Altimas, Olds 442s, farm tractors and flathead Fords. :?

(and NO, Paul ~ large collections of loose spare partz are NOT considered as "more Zs", even if putting them all together looks like another one).

THANKS!

Frank

Frank, don't tell anyone, but I'm the keeper of the ancient Transformers, "It's more than meets the Eye." Those parts actually form into real cars and protect our planet. So to be inconspicuous, I just have what looks like 3 Z cars.

FEAR NOT, my friend!

This will be an on-going endeavor, and I'm sure we will welcome your announcement with fervor and celebration! :D

You're still our valued member, even if you only ride a bicycle!

Frank
