Chas Mazzola, a new friend of the club, has generously agreed to host us at his facility and will provide oodles of parking and discounts on food (net cost will be picked up by club). The agenda will focus on hanging out by our Z's, checking out the facility, updates on future club events and a special presentation by Paul Jensen of the history of the Nissan / Datsun brand.

Third Annual Car Show: Our annual car show, scheduled for Saturday July 17th at Middletown Nissan, is fast approaching. We already have a record number of pre-registrations and it is shaping up to be a great event. Please reserve the date and plan to join us. Wednesday's club meeting will be the last opportunity to pre-register and save $5.00 off the price. Third Annual Lime Rock Day with Bob Sharp:
Usually this event consists of a leisurely drive up to Lime Rock Park, spending 5 minutes at the main gate, paying nothing to get in, parking together in the upper field and wandering around the track and pit area at will. Well this year our Lime Rock Day, being held on July 24th, is going to be crowded, loud, expensive and a day you will not soon forget. The reason? July 24th is the annual ALMS Northeast Grand Prix! Your personal tour guide will be our own Bob Sharp. Bob's son Scott will be racing and we are working on what kind of access we may be able to get to him and his team (Patron Racing).

We are going to group-buy tickets to get a discount, so you MUST register in advance. Tickets normally cost $60 for the day but we will be getting them at $48, a 20% discount. This may sound like a lot but for a professional AMLS race event hosted by Bob, you'll be getting your money's worth. If you want to participate in the group-buy, please send me an e-mail (ross@ctzcc.com). If you will be at Wednesday's meeting, please give bring a check!

Colin's Cruise:
Over 20 club members and Z's participated in a bittersweet event late last month to remember our friend and member Colin Foote. The activities consisted of a barbecue on Friday night in Narraganset, RI hosted by the Foote family, a police escorted 10 mile caravan to Quonset Point on Saturday morning and participation in the RI National Guard annual Air Show. It's a good thing most of us were wearing sunglasses when Robin Foote assembled us before the caravan, thanked us for our brotherhood of support and said "Let's do this for Colin".
