Upcoming Meeting: Frank Thomas will be coordinating our second meeting of the season next Wednesday at 7:00pm at Executive Nissan (900 Universal Drive North in North Haven, CT). As usual, food and drinks will be provided at no charge. Bring your Z, a friend and a smile!

East Coast Z Nationals:
On May 22nd and 23rd, six regional Z clubs will be hosting the first East Coast Z Nationals as part of Import Kit Nationals at the Carlisle, PA Fairgrounds. The event will include a Peoples Choice car show on Saturday and a track event on Sunday at the Quarter Ace Drag way in Mount Holly Springs, PA. The show entry fee includes food and trophies will be awarded to the top cars in each vintage category. A social get together is planned for Saturday night in the hotel lounge following the car show. See flyer at: http://www.facebook.com/l/138c2;www.pho ... Nflier.JPG

I plan to do a same-day trip so if anyone is inteested in caravaning, please post on the following thread: http://forums.ctzcc.com/viewtopic.php?t=4455&start=30. If you need the registration form, shoot me an e-mail.

Membership: As I write this e-mail, our little club that was formed roughly three years ago is a few people shy of 400 members! Admittedly, since we do not charge dues, we get members from all over the place. While the majority of our members are from CT, we have many members from NY, NJ, MA, RI and NH (in descending numbers). Outside of this geographic area, we have members from many other U.S. states as well as Australia, Canada, Finland, France and Germany. A lot of folks are drawn to the club by its very active Discussion Forum. Others want to meet in person at our meetings and events. We've got "daily drivers", "project cars", "all original cars", "V-8 conversions", "racecars", a couple "trailer queens" and everything in between. In my mind, this is the great thing about our club - there is something for everyone and all people who own and love these cars are welcome regardless of knowledge or expertise. While growing "big" poses its own challenges, I think we need to take a moment to appreciate what we have all built together. It's quite an accomplishment! (Just for grins, pictures of our first Fall Outing in 2005 can be viewed at http://www.ctzcc.com/2005outing.html)

Preliminary Club Schedule: We have a packed schedule of meetings and events this year, which can be viewed at http://www.ctzcc.com/schedule.html. Meeting dates are locked in (always the second Wednesday of the month) but some of the event dates may change as the season progresses. We are looking forward to our third annual car show, our third outing at Lime Rock Park and our fifth Fall Outing in October. We have tried our best to get the major events of other regional Z clubs on the schedule as well - so please participate in as many of those that you can. Get some or all of these dates on your calendar before the spouse fills them with weddings and funerals of relatives you barely know!

Website: To anyone who has ever visited our web-site, this will not come as suprising news: we recorded an all time high number of visitors this month with almost 49,000 views! This is an increase of over 58% from the same month last year! We like to think we have one of the best Z web-sites out there and apparently many other Z nuts agree. All of the credit and much appreciation goes to our webmaster, Jim Hagani. Note: excluding Frank Thomas - we had 9 views in April (just kidding).

That's all for now! Ross

 Cute, Ross!

Well, no matter who is responsible for our popularity, here's a solid indicator of how we've grown lately and how active we've become:

If you Google "Z Club" or "Z Car Club", our little family pops up SECOND on the title page! We are second only to (our member :D ) Carl Beck's iconic ZHome Internet Z Car Club!

The standing on these title pages is determined by how many 'hits' any given website receives during that time period. So for now, (for NOW, Carl ) we are second only to Carl's wonderful, world-renown site.

Go Club, Go!
