Congratulations to our Florida member Carl Beck who, at 04:22 this morning, entered this Club's 9,000th article!

While larger and older clubs might not consider this a big deal, it is significant to us in several ways.

First, I remind you that the CTZCC is not an 'internet club', but an actual group of 331 members, who own more than 500 Z cars among them. More than 300 of us live right here in CT, but we have members in 12 other states (and two other countries) as well. We actually meet and know each other, and have had our members drive or fly-in from as far away as NY, NJ, MA, RI, VT, NH, FLA, GA, MD, and even WASHINGTON STATE to attend our functions.

That being said, we began calendar year 2008 with only 264 entries on this website. We began a campaign to stimulate more interaction and by August 2008 we hit our first 1,000 articles. (Tom Wasney won a Cyber Trophy and 1,000 free hotdogs for that. He's still recovering :lol: ).

Each 1,000 new articles have been heralded as they were reached, and they have occurred quicker and quicker each time since. The time between our 7,000th post and our 8,000th post was a record 31 days, and I'm happy to announce that we have BEATEN THAT RECORD! These last 1,000 articles were posted in 30 days!

Carl returned from his early-morning jog at 04:22 today to post our 9,000th article in the TECH TALK Forum! THANK YOU, CARL BECK, for helping us maintain this website as an active, vibrant communication among all our members.

Keith Hultmark, please look into your MerchandiZe Crystal Ball and tell us what Carl has won? :shock:

That is amazing!! Your 200th Member posted your 9000th Post... There must be a record, for the member that holds the most records - right? ;-)

More than 9.000 articles...I'm glad to have contributed a few.
And I'm thankful to get so much help and support! The CTZCC is a stroke of luck for every z enthusiast.
