After a season filled with great meetings and events it's hard to think things could get any better - but read on and I think you will agree that we are wrapping up the 2009 season with a bang!

HLS30-00013 found in CT! Is it the most significant production 240Z in existence? Is it the most valuable Z car? Is it the first 240Z to be sold in the U.S? Who the heck knows!! (I certainly don't). But I can tell you that people far more knowledgable than me are already debating these questions and this car's place in automotive history. This car has been missing in action from the Z car radar screen for decades and has just now reappeared in our own backyard thanks to the super-hero senses of Chris "did-you-say-#13?" Colgan and Frank "may-I-see-it-in-person-please?" Thomas. For more information, photos and debate on this incredible find, please see our discussion thread at: http://forums.ctzcc.com/viewtopic.php?t=4114. If you absolutely must see it up close and in person (like me), it will be making it's re-entry onto the world stage at our upcoming show in Middletown CT on September 19th.

Next Club Meeting: Our next club meeting of the season will be held on Wednesday September 9th at 7:00pm at a location to be announced shortly. Because this is our final meeting of the season, we are going to skip the videos, photos and presentations to allow more time to hang out with the cars and shmooze.

Last Club Meeting: Our last club meeting was held at Chao's restaurant in Sandy Hook. We had an awesome waterside parking lot location and then went inside for four very interesting presentations by Tim Murphy, Paul Mackin, Bryan Little and Colin Gentle. You can see pictures, compliments of Phil Parent at: http://s277.photobucket.com/albums/kk69 ... =slideshow

2nd Annual Show at Middletown Nissan: Our annual show scheduled for Saturday September 19th is fast approaching and we are receiving many advance registrations. To reserve your spot, save some money and guarantee a show t-shirt and goody bag, please complete and mail your registration form, which is available at http://www.ctzcc.com/howRegistrationForm09.pdf. Registration is $15.00 if received in advance or $20 on day of show. Trophies will be awarded for first, second and third place in seven categories plus "Best of Show". We will also have a well-stocked raffle table to choose from and other giveaways. There are not too many events left in the season so don't miss this one!

(Also - I am looking for a few good men and women to help with set-up, registration, vote tallying and other miscellaneous duties. Anyone who already works these events will tell you that it is a lot of fun. Any takers please e-mail me)

NJZCC Annual Show: Six of us travelled to Bridgewater, NJ yesterday for the NJZCC's annual show. It was a beautiful day filled with over 60 Z cars and lots of fun and catching up on old friendships. Three of us drove home with trophies. Pictures are available compliments of Keith Hultmark at: http://s277.photobucket.com/albums/kk69 ... =slideshow

Hope to see you all at either our upcoming meeting or show - or both! Ross

Great report Ross, thanks! And thanks also for the blurb on 1969 240Z #HLS30-00013! This is the most exciting thing that's happened to many of us in memory. Can't wait for the car to debut at our 2nd Annual Z Car Show at Middletown Nissan later this month! Several dignitaries are booked to arrive to zee this long-lost icon in person.

Ross Williams, you have the very best (and the most exciting) Z Car Club on the planet! Thank you for all you've done so far, and by all appearances, it's just getting better every month. We will soon be able to brag about having more than 300 registered members, who feel more like a family than a club. Among us we already have nearly 400 Z cars and Roadsters! For a state as small as CT, we're growing rapidly!

I'm proud to be a member of the CTZCC, and I LOVE THIS CLUB! :D

Z ya ~

AMEN to that brother. I think Frank has said it all in a nut shell.
All of you Directors are doing an awsome job and I also love this club and the people and having a BLAST...maybe in the future we can have a Z convention here in Ct. like Texas. Ah we'll keep dreaming anyway...
