Don't look now, but we have 199 Registered Users on this Website. The very next dude or dudette to register will win a FREE CTZCC decal for his/her Z car!

The most recent registered user is LogixSTI. Who will be our 200th?

And the 200th Registered User on this Club's Website turn out to be NOT a dude OR a dudette, but the very distinguished and well noted Mr. Carl Beck!

How very appropriate for us! Carl, as you know, has orchestrated the Internet Z Car Club (IZCC), which has become such an amazing success and the internet pool for all information about Z cars. Many of our early members learned about the CTZCC thru the IZCC.

Please visit his great site as often as possible (Keyword: Z Home) and wander thru the endless halls of Z information at this "Virtual Z Museum". If you own a Series-1 car, PLEASE take a moment to register it in Carl's world-wide Z registry so we mortals can keep track of them (and they don't disappear for 30 years like car#13 did!)

It's always nice to be discovered by "dignitaries" such as Carl, but it's great that he has further distinguished us by being our 200th registered user for this website. Carl, please contact our MerchandiZe Coordinator Keith Hultmark (Keith@CTZCC) and tell him which of our 4 styles of decals (red/blue/inside/outside) you prefer. It will be in the mail to you as soon as Keith has your address.

(YES everyone, I will be hitting Carl to join the CTZCC and become our 277th FREE registered member! I'll be back to you with information about the resultz).

Visit Carl's great website: www.IZCC.Com

Z ya ~

Great to have such a distinguished member! I have been a fan of that site for some time. It's a great bunch of fanatical knuckleheads we have in this group.(Just ask Frank!) The more the merrier! On the "up" side of things; Thanks to Elaine Chao and Ross for another great evening the other night! That location, her restaurant, those cars and these people are made for each other. On the lower side; sorry about you're friend, Frank. I know you would have had your car down there. RDM

HI Frank / Everyone:
Thanks for the warm welcome.

To tell you the truth, I've been an occasional lurker for a long time. I try to hit many of the Local Z Car Club Web Sites - just to assure we have all the links working on the Z Car Home Page. I've also known many of your members for several years as well from the IZCC, the old Z Car List and attending the Annual Conventions. Have to admit that recognizing screen names is sometimes beyond me...

Also had to come read Franks stories about finding his Z Car. I had a similar happening when I found a friends original Z for him -- - what are the odds?

On the occasion of FF13 {Franks Find of #13} I had to actually register to let him know I was following along.

If Keith sends me a CTZCC Decal - I'll send him back a couple of IZCC static cling window stickers. Deal?

kind regards,
Carl

Welcome Carl,

Glad you could make it official here on the forum in honor of FF13. This club is lucky to have Frank in our ranks and as our membership director fro many reason which I am sure you are familier with.

Please PM your address to me and I'd be happy to send you a few Decals.

Look forward to seeing you around the CTZCC site, and perhaps we'll meet one day.

This thread is over a year old...I think Carl joined in 2009 and Phil simply made a remark about our growth since Carl's joining back in 2009.

So we should say Happy One Year Anniversay to Carl's joining and being the 200th member, we now have 307

Well, no. Actually we now have 432 registered (official) members, plus 8 more new applicants I received today. When we put them onto the roster, we will have an even 440 registered (official) members.

Each time we hold an event, we get some publicity. Some other Z owners learn about us, and we get a fistful of new applicants.

The "307" Keith is referring to represents the number of posters who are active on this CTZCC Website. Not all of them are registered members, and not all of the registered members regularly use the website.

In a perfect world, the number of registered members and the number of regular website users would be the same number.

ANYWAY, Carl joined us a year ago. Since then we have more than doubled our membership numbers. I have to suspect that at least SOME of that was due to Carl belonging to our Club.

Hope I made at least some of that clear...... :D
