Next Club Meeting:
Our next club meeting will be held on Wednesday August 12th at 7:00pm at a location to be announced shortly. During this meeting Tim Murphy will present an update on his 240Z vintage racer project - taking an old street car and preparing it for track use similar to how an amateur racer would have 'back in the day.' Paul Mackin will present a slide show of pictures from the ZCCR All Japanese Car weekend including the visit to SharpSite racing in Rochester (home of many of the original BSR cars) and Bryan Little will make his directorial debut with a short video of our day with Bob Sharp at Lime Rock on July 25th. As usual, food and soft drinks will be served.

Last Club Meeting:
Our last club meeting was held at Nino's Italian restaurant in Waterbury. The pizza was top notch and Rich Amatulli of RDZ Engineering gave a very informative presentation on the care and maintenance of the 300ZX. We met plenty of new faces and cars. (We are continuing our efforts to host club meetings throughout Connecticut this year. If you know of a great location for a future meeting in your neck of the woods, please e-mail me.)

Club Store:
Keith Hultmark, your Events and Merchandise Director has been hard at work implementing the Cafe Press CTZCC Store, which has a great variety of club items for purchase. You can order CTZCC mouse pads, travel mugs, magnets, stickers, wall clocks and a bunch more items (including the much requested and often out of stock CTZCC "thong") by going to: http://www.cafepress.com/CTZCC. A portion of all proceeds go directly to the club to fund future meetings and events. So please browse this new store and if you like what you see, order it! ...and then thank Keith!

Past Month Events:
Holy Cow! Were you at our Bob Sharp Lime Rock Day last weekend? If so, no more needs to be said. If not, you missed one of the best events in our club's history. We had 36 Z cars, a personal classroom session conducted by Bob Sharp, 3 laps on the track at lunchtime, another Q&A session with Bob in the afternoon and the company of dozens of screaming Ferrari's.

Pictures and lots of commentary - middle of page five through 7 of the thread below: http://forums.ctzcc.com/viewtopic.php?t=3977&start=60

Pics from ZCCR's "All Japanese Classic Car Weekend' are now posted in the gallery section of their website. Check them out at: http://www.zccr.net/main/modules.php?na ... temId=2102. More will be posted soon. ZCCR wishes to thank all who participated and make sure you put this event on your calendar for next year!

Upcoming Events:
NJZCC 11th Annual Car Show: This event will take place on Saturday, August 29th at the Hilton Garden Inn, 500 Promenade Blvd, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 and is sponsored by Somerset Nissan. This show is always on my "must attend" list due to the large turn-out and the professionalism of the NJZCC club and crew. Let's support our cousins in NJ by putting together a caravan. Last year we had a decent showing with about 6 participants - let's double that this year. Details will be posted shortly at www.njzcc.com and as soon as I receive the registration information, I will post on our site.

CTZCC 2nd Annual Car Show: This event will take place on Saturday, September 19th at Middletown Nissan, 1153 Newfield Street (Rte 3), Middletown, CT 06457 and is sponsored by Middletown Nissan. This will be our second Z show and it is shaping up to be a terrific event. We will have "People's Choice" judging and trophies in seven categories (plus Best of Show). Last year we had a great turnout and the club has grown significantly since then. Please put this event on your calendar - more details will be posted on our web-site Discussion Forum shortly.

New Members:
Please welcome our new members that joined this past month when you see them in person or on our Discussion Forum:

Club Meeting Topics / Presenters:
We are always looking for topics to be discussed at our monthly club meetings, which occur on the second Wednesday of each month from March through September. Typically we have two different topics / presentations per meeting. Have you always wanted to share your unique knowledge of the Z with a larger audience? Maybe you have knowledge of Z history, specific models, restoration, modifications or other topics that club members would be interested in. If so, please send me an e-mail so we can get you on the calendar. Don't be shy - it's fun!

Hope to see you at our upcoming meeting on August 12th!

Sincerely, Ross
