Last Club Meeting:
Our last club meeting was held at Middletown Nissan with roughly 35 attendees. Hosting the meeting in Middletown allowed us to see lot's of new faces and cars. We thought we were "full-up" when a procession of about 7 black Z's arrived late for pizza. After everyone caught up with each other in the parking lot, Bryan Little gave a fascinating and informative presentation on early model carburetors.

Next Club Meeting:
Our next club meeting will be held on Wednesday July 8th at 7:00pm at Nino's Trattoria Italian Restaurant, 91 Scott Road, Waterbury, CT 06705 (203-757-9490). During this meeting Rich Amatulli of RDZ Engineering (http://www.rdz300.com) will present a brief history of the 300zx, how it continued the Datsun/Nissan legend and how with some maintenance and a few upgrades, it is still at the forefront of performance even when compared to today's cars. Rich will also discuss the most frequent maintenance issues common to the 300ZX's and how to check for and resolve them.

We are continuing our efforts to have club meeetings throughout Connecticut this year. If you know of a great location for a future meeting in your neck of the woods, please e-mail me.

Past Month Events:

1) Z Association of NY (ZANY) Northeast Adventure - June 22nd Several of our members made the ride up to Saratoga for ZANY"s annual Z Adventure at the Saratoga Automobile Museum. As usual, ZANY did a great job and the weather cooperated nicely. Registration included adminssion to the museum, which has a wonderful inventory of classic automobiles.

2) The CTZCC visits Orange County Choppers! On June 28th a contingent of our members ventured out of CT to the Infiniti & Nissan car show at the new Orange County Choppers world headquarters in Newburgh NY. Many participants started their day with coffee and donuts hosted by Rich Amatulli in Danbury and then caravanned from there. The show Include trophies in many categories claimed by at least five of our members along with a tour of the facilities. The Tuttle family was planning to make an appearance but apparently they got into an argument on the way over to the shop

2) CTZCC 2nd Annual Car Show: Due to a scheduling conflict, we have moved the date of our annual car show to September (most likely 9/19 with a rain date of 9/20) Please reserve the date on your calendars!

3) Bob Sharp Lime Rock Outing: Saturday July 25th: One of the most enjoyable events of last year with Bob giving us a "mock' driving class as if you were about to head out to do battle on the racetrack. He will tell you what to do, what not to do and everything in between. While it's not guaranteed, Bob may be able to get us out for parade laps mid-day as he did last year. The Ferarri club will have the track on this day so there should be some good viewing of some very expensive vintage cars. This is a very casual day of fun and perfect for spouses. Attendees will not race on the track. If I remember correctly, Bob did pass me pretty fast on the way home last year though.

Club Meeting Topics / Presenters:
We are always looking for topics to be discussed at our monthly club meetings, which occur on the second Wednesday of each month from March through September. Typically we have two different topics / presentations per meeting. Have you always wanted to share your unique knowledge of the Z with a larger audience? Maybe you have knowledge of Z history, specific models, restoration, modifications or other topics that club members would be interested in. If so, please send me an e-mail so we can get you on the calendar. Don't be shy - it's fun!

Hope to see you at our upcoming meeting on July 8th!
