I've sort of fantasiZed doing this with a Grand National Buick turbo engine in a 240Z. Looks like it fits, huh?

I think that *might* have been a 1954-55 Pontiac.
But they shared basically the same body and I can't see the taillights or grille.
The windscreen looks "Poncho" to me.

Correction.
It WAS a '55 Chevy!

Wow.

Reminds me of one of my more successful drag races in the Z.
In Hawaii I attended a picnic at the end of a disused airstrip which ended at a small beach. One guy there had his '55 Chevy with a 350V8 and was bragging about it. I don't know what he had done to the thing but I didn't think it looked all that fast, even with a 4Bbl. We got talking and he told me how badly he could beat my cheap Japanese junk car, etc. So we raced them on the airstrip.
Admittedly, he put his wife in the car with him (which made no sense to me), but her 110lbs wouldn't have made any difference. I beat him so badly it wasn't funny, and he broke something trying to catch me.
When we were kids we put 3 single-barrel BX Strombergs on a 265 V8 Chevy and didn't change anything else (cam or timing). It was a dog. My buddy had an automatic '56 Pontiac ragtop 287-V8 with a single 4Bbl which absolutely flew. The rest of the car was so rusted (Barney Rubble floors, etc) it scared even us.

Ooooohhhhh! I'll take that 1947 Diamond T car carrier right NOW.
And the Winchester 1866 engraved Yellowboy in the cab is a nice touch, too!

Reminds me of a certain Studebaker towtruck I used to see as a teen. Twin straight stacks, sounded delicious, could be heard for blocks in every direction. Pulled mobile homes around our county back in the '60s. Never again heard anything that sounded like it.
