The Spring LeMons race was held at Loudon NH last weekend, and Black Gold Racing returned to become 3 time losers. Here's a video of me chasing a well driven Escort from the Massholes team. It's amazing how much faster the Z is now than last year. We spent the winter tuning the suspension, mounting new tires, and figuring out the carbs. We still have a little carb tuning to go, but she's running strong. We can richen it up a little and advance the timing for a few more horses at the next race. Beyond that, I'm not sure how much power we can squeeze out without taking the engine apart/blowing up our $500 budget (which the car was deemed as being worth $495, so we really only have a $5 budget..). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxWCyRewKaA I'll post up a video of my hot lap from the Friday practice session soon. |

Awesome run Andy! Excellent video, too. Quite a motley crew of Massholes - looked like an enormous amount of fun shredding past some and getting challenged by others. Thanks for sharing the video! - Jim |
