What do you guys have for radios/cassette players/ cd players in your cars? I've been content with my stock cassette player until it stopped playing a couple weeks ago. Antenna was removed long ago so no working radio either.

Part of me wants to keep the interior looking "period correct" as in no fancy glowing digital displays and such. But I'm curious as to what other people are using.

I wish I could still listen to my Creedence Clearwater Revival tape :( .

I recently put at Retrosound II in my 75 280z. It looks pretty much like a stock radio but is Bluetooth compatible so you can pair your phone to it. Bought it from JC Whitney online. I also bought a Kenwood subwoofer which should round out the sound.

My 6 year old Kenwood cassette broke last year, the radio too. As you likely know, no one makes shaft-style cassette/radios anymore. There IS one company out there but their models are chromed and seem more for American hot rods.

The two choices I found were:

- go to Ebay and buy a used shaft-style deck. The downside is you only have radio unless you have a ready supply of old cassettes to record.

- Leave the original deck in for show, put a small amp behind the seat and wire a MP3 player (Ipod) in to sit on the center console. That's what I did.
