So I was wondering if anyone had a way to repair 240z door panel hard boards. After years of removing and putting the door panels back on the holes which the clips are in are in very poor condition, causing the clips not to hold and the panel does not sit right. It sucks that the panel is made of fiberboard as it does not age well. I tryed finding replacement and could only find new panels for $575 for the set. A little out of my price range. So does anyone have any suggestions. I have read that you can use contact cement on peices of sheet metel with holes were the clips go and that works good. Any other suggestions?

all that "mushy" fiberboard around the holes can be made superhard and strong just by wicking thin cyanoacrylate glue into it. It should be the type that is made for model woodworking, best bought at a hobby shop, or mail ordered: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wt ... LXK282&P=0.
After reshaping and hardening the hole areas with this stuff, if you want the area even stronger, you can laminate some fiberglass cloth onto one or both sides of it with epoxy.
