Has there been a panel to cover the fuse box area and wires in the passenger's side? Mine has no panel and the wires are visible. wouldn't surprise me if there hasn't been anything as the old Cherrys that I've had were that way too.

also in the center of the dash, right above the original radio there's an hole that is about an inch high and as wide as the radio panel. seems like it should have some panel to cover the hole. can anyone confirm this and any hopes of finding one?

The wires on the passenger side footwell were contained in a black naugahyde 'cluster bag', which folded around all the wires and snapped shut. I am missing mine and have been looking for one for more than 2 years.

If I had one, I would send you a picture to show you what to look for.

But I don't. :(

Frank

What is the prodution date on you 260Z :?:

I took some images of our 260z's dash area. Both are early 260z's One is a point ignition , the other is electronic, both are stock .

Here is a link to them.

These are images of two different 260z's

Hi Pat,
I'm sorry I have completely missed your message - am always relying on notifications but didn't get one for this and I forgot to check this thread.
my z is 12/73 and the radio seems to be the same as yours. In fact it seems that above the radio there is a hole that is covered by only this thin plastic film/fabric so it appears no parts are missing in mine. Clearly one of the less well though areas of the car as I was pretty sure mine is missing something but actually isn't :)
