Many of the EFI harness connectors have corrosion on them after many years and many have never been touched, EVER!!

This is and has created many issues with drivability and performance over the years. Systems affected can be the TPS, Injectors, Crank Angle Sensor, PTU, Water Temp, knock sen., idle control sys., Mass Air, etc.

What you'll need:
Electric Parts cleaner
Dielectric grease
small screwdriver or probe tools like dental picks
rags

Many Auto parts stores have these supplies.

Simply go through each connector and inspect for green corrosion, also inspect the wires for splits or even broken connections. Spray some cleaner, wait, scrape with small screwdriver or dental style pick. Spray, Repeat until clean. (Note:Make sure to inspect both the male and female sides)

Spread a little Dielectric grease on connector(s) and reconnect. This will insure proper electrical connections and protect them is the future from corrosion.

Happy Hunting.

Once you get them clean, is there any way you could maybe shrink-wrap them, or use some other method to isolate them from the atmosphere? It seems it might be worthwhile to protect them after you spend the time to clean 'em up.

That's what the Dielectric Grease helps with. Like liquid wrap for electrical parts.
