Many of the 260/280Z Fender emblems have a red field around the letter "Z" that is cracked, faded, or missing.

Here is what I did to fix mine.

Chip out as much of the old red plastic as you can with a small screwdriver, carefully.

Get some two part epoxy or clear casting resin. Mix up some in a small cup according to the instructions.

Then add some red food coloring until the color matches the original color. You can even get creative and blend your own custom color. Mix in the coloring.

When mixing, try to be smooth and steady so as not to aerate the formula with bubbles.

Dip the tip of a small screwdriver into the cup of resin to pick some up.

Use the screwdriver to dribble the resin into the emblem slowly. Let the resin self-level and flow into the pocket. If you get any resin over splash, you can wipe it with isopropyl alcohol while it is still soft.

Let is set. Viola! A repaired fender emblem! :D

Note: Food Coloring is not greatly UV stable and will fade if the car spends a ton of time in the sun. Mine has held most of its color for about 10 years now. With some research, you can find UV stable dye that might hold up better.
