**NOTE: Last night (Wed/18Sep14), more than 5 full years after Jim Arnett started this restoration project (and started this new RESTORATION TIPS category in our Forum), we got to actually 'e-meet' him and zee his beautiful car via Skype at our Sept/2014 meeting! 
About 30 of us gathered at Miller Nissan in Fairfield for the final meeting of our 2014 Zeason, where we Skyped Jim down in Richardson, TX and put him up on their wall-mounted Big Screen to show off his Dec/1970 Z car. Altho the car has been finished for many moons and has won loud applause wherever it has been shown, this was the first time any of us got to zee it (or him!) in 'e-person'.
It was well worth the wait. Jim walked us thru his perfect yard out to his driveway, where the most mouth-watering 240Z was waiting to be viewed. He has done a simply stunning job. The car is magnificent. (And Jim is far younger and more dashing than any of us had imagined ~ comments about Errol Flynn flew around the room as soon as he appeared on the screen).
This car is significant to us here, 1600 miles away, because Jim has guided us thru his restoration process step-by-step during the 3-year build. He did most of the work himself, at home, which adds flavor to the overall success.
It was Jim's idea to start this RESTORATION TIPS forum, which has been a huge success in its own right and has become a major contribution to the popularity of this website.
Jim's reward for his 3.5 yrs of hard labor is his magnificent "like new" 240Z, but he took the time to share his labors of love (and skinned knuckles) with us by photographs and dialogue throughout the process. So we benefit from his efforts as well, by his documented "how to" restoration tutorial, the addition of an outstanding new subject in the CTZCC forums, and the intrinsic reward of having an absolutely flawless early 240Z in our membership stables.
