I don't know much about these, besides the fact that my girlfriend found them on Pinterest while looking at other cars. Enjoy, and as always, if you have any knowledge, please share!

There are dozens and dozens of print ads for the Z throughout the years. In the 70s and 80s it was impossible to pick up a national magazine and NOT see an ad for a Z! Some are very rare as they were marketed in Canada or to select regions of the country. I have a binder full of them, I'll try to post some here when I get some time.....

Remember, the Z is the best-selling sports/GT car in WORLD HISTORY. It was the first car to sell 500,000 units in 10 yrs, and the first car to sell 1,000,000 units in 20yrs. Nobody else can say that.

Jaguar, Corvette, Porsche, Triumph, Alfa Tomato, Austin Healey, MG and all the rest, had DECADES of head-start on the Z car. None of them (NONE OF THEM) ever sold that many cars in that short a time. (Some of them have NEVER sold that many cars, period!)

The Z was a smash success for many reaZons, and advertiZing was certainly a key factor.

Frank

The very FIRST Z ad, March/April 1970. By the way, the car pictured is the RED HLS30-00007, currently missing in action.

Wonderful! I've never seen that one before.

Interesting to note that the very first advert for the Z car clearly claims it is "built by Nissan".

Funny that's all they had to say about the car at that point. Even by the end of the year, they could have written volumes about it.

The 1970 Z was worth more in Dec/70 than it was in Jan/70.

Please, anyone, name me any other car which has done that in our lifetimes?
