OK gang, it's winter, we're buried in snow and our carz are hibernating. Everybody's getting antZy and we're all staring at the calendar trying to predict when our first opportunity will be to air out our carz again.

While we suffer in snow, it often helps to revisit the heritage of our cars in this 5-part mini-series. Each segment is 10 minutes long, so grab something cold to drink and maybe fire up the popcorn popper.

Some of the sound track is off-pace with the video, but nothing's lost. Many of you have already seen this series, others have not and can enjoy this history lesson. Pay attention to what the narrator is telling you ~ some of these details are worth remembering.

There are "Z Heroes" in this series. Katayama-San, Bob Sharp, John Morton, Paul Newman, John O'Connel and others. You'll zee Bob Sharp's actual original 240Z racer, car 0006, door #33 in its original racing colors in 1970 and in its later well-known red/white/blue Datsun USA racing livery. (I might be in love with the girl who wears the "Z" earrings in Part 5!) No apologies to anyone for the 1970s hairstyles and clothes, if you weren't around to enjoy them at the time. And this was filmed at the time when there were only "30 Z car clubs nationwide".

Take your time. Enjoy this. You earned it and you deserve it. After watching it (again and again), walk out to the garage and hug your Z.
We are brothers and sisters because of this incredible car.

I remember my ex recorded that on VHS for me (to show how long ago that was) and I was so pumped to see it originally.
