This month's Member Ride of the Month winner is Tommy Sullivan's 1978 280Z.

It was one month ago today, on May 1, 2012, that Tommy, his wife and two daughters perished in a horrific fire in their home.

In honor of Tommy, his Z will be our final Member Ride of the Month winner.

To see a few more photos of Sully's Z, please visit Tommy's Member Ride album HERE.

How very appropriate! While it's sad to see the MROTM end, I can think of no better car to retire it with than Sully's. I can just imagine his comments.

This car has been the subject of much debate over the past month. It appeared to be among the few surviving possessions of this horrible house fire which consumed virtually everything else the Sullivans owned. Everyone who loved Sully wants the personal satisfaction of pitching his/her hand in to help restore it. Btwn Sully's Dad, Tommy Jr, RDZ, the CTZCC and the NYZCC, I'm confident this car won't be leaving our joint recognizance and will be around to frequently remind us of Big Tommy's smiling enthusiasm.

Tommy Jr said his Dad spent his final day on earth detailing this 280Z for the upcoming Rhinebeck show.

I like that thought.

Nice work, Sully.

Frank

A fitting tribute, thanks Jim.
