VOTING WILL CLOSE ON THE LAST DAY OF THE MONTH!

Nominees: you are strongly encouraged to post a message in this thread and share with us some of the details and stories that make your Z special.

One vote per member, please visit each nominee's complete album before casting your vote. Once you cast your vote, you will not be able to change it, so choose wisely!

Voting is 100% anonymous - nobody (including me, the webmaster) will know who voted for whom.

There will be no recounts, hanging chads, Supreme Court intervention, etc...In the event of a tie, a coin will be tossed and the decision of the judges will be final.

Good luck to this month's nominees - each of them is deserving of this award!

ENJOY!

- Jim

Hi jim ~

I honestly believe this contest gets tougher each time we do it. After seeing these cars at Club events, we kinda get to know them and some of the features which stand out about the car in person (but which might not show in a long-range photo) flash to mind when they come up for competition with each other.

The pride each owner takes in his Z are apparent when you approach the car in person. The small details and careful preparation of the cars are what stand out in your mind after you've seen it.

(Less than 100 hours left to cast your vote, folks. Just ask yourself, "which one of these cars would I MOST like to have the title to?")

Z ya later!
Frank

Bill Moreau's sleek 280Z has a body kit which makes it appeared "lowered", and no doubt provides ground effects while it's at speed ~ we sure know it provides visual effects while parked! :D

Congratulations Bill ~ great car! I have often had teenage fantasies about finding the keys left in your ignition!

How come the car of the month voting is closed on the month previous to what month the car is representing??? :?

So the car will get a full month of representation. It takes a few days to let everyone vote, and if the voting started on the 1st of the month, the winner would only be a winner for about 3 weeks.

If the contest starts voting in the final week of a month, the results can be viewed and the car can begin "reigning" on the first day of the month.

Have you finished all your hotdogs yet?

I've wondered the same thing Tom. I would think that the voting would last a month and the winner would be up for the next month. This would allow the "not so frequent" visitors a chance to weigh in. In other words, on 11/1 the voting for December COTM would begin and last until 11/30 at which point the winner would be throned and a new car selection process started for January COTM.....just my thoughts.

I would think so too. Sounds like a good plan. Can this then be considered an option in the future? (Ross, Frank) I'm around here alot, and even I missed it. Also, after all the realy nice cars have been judged, will it ever come down to the not so nice cars.

Paul, the car of the month candidates are picked randomly based on the the cars loaded to the member rides section. The "random selection" function from the member rides forum is executed X number of times and the first 4 cars picked are automatically made candidates. So ANY car can become a candidate and eventually car of the month if the vote is there!!

Ah, I see. Well I'm not looking for fame, someday I hope. It's the guys with real nice Z's that influence me to get mine up to par. Mechanics and safety first, but eventually. I'll have to say though, no matter waht a Z looks like, it gets the looks and fame from the public.
