Jim, you make this tougher every month! :?

Happily, we have had a recent car show, so we know some of these cars from personal exposure. I was able to vote for the car I admired at the show, but it wasn't easy ~ you nominees really need to upgrade your photo entries so other voters (some of whom might not have seen your cars in person and be aware of the details you have in them) can get a better idea of how really great this month's entries are.

Frankly, I'd take the keys to ANY of them! This contest was a really good idea, but Jim keeps making it tougher and tougher to chooZ!

Frank:

I'd like to take credit for the level of competition, but it actually was totally "lady luck" - all I did was hit the "RANDOM" button at the top of the Member Ride gallery four times and jot down the nominees...

Wow, thanks guys for nominating me. I haven't had much of a chance to take my Z out much this year:( (I've updated my pics if anyone is interested)

Here's a little more info on my Z.

I don't DD my car and only put about 2k miles year(mainly because I'm out of town M-F on business). The majority of times it leaves the house it's to go to an Autocross, HPDE, or the rare Drag strip.

The exterior is stock with the exception of updating the front fascia and rear tail lights to the '99 model year(only available overseas). As far as performance goes here's a list of my current mods:

Motor:
JWT Pop Charger
Specialty-Z 2.5" Super Split Downpipes
Specialty-Z 2.5" Test Pipes
Specialty-Z 2.5" Catback

Brakes:
Brembo Cross Drilled/Slotted Rotors
Hawk HPS Pads
ATE blue brake Fluid
Stainless Steal Brake Lines
300 Degree Brake Master Cylinder Stop Brace

Suspension:
KYB AGX Shocks
Tein S.Tech Springs
300 Degree Front Camber Correction Kit
Bernie's Custom Camber Kit Spacers
Stillen Front Sway Bar (Outside link setting)
Stillen Rear Sway Bar (Middle link setting)
Energy Suspension Steering Rack Bushings
SPL pro Tension Rods

Drivetrain & Trans:
Jim Wolf Tech Stage III Clutch
Fidenza Light Weight Flywheel
Stillen Short-Throw Shifter

Electronic:
Ostrich(Emulator)
Personally tuned using Tuner Pro R/T
Greddy Profec B Spec 1 Boost Controller
Greddy Turbo Timer
Greddy Boost Gauge

Exterior:
Street:
Stock TT wheels 225(F) 245(R)
Track:
17x9 Enkei RPF1
275/40-17 Falken Azenis RT-615 (F)
275/40-17 Nitto NT-01 (R)
'99 JDM Tail Lights
'99 JDM Front Fascia

Misc:
Relocated Det. Sensor
Conzult
Blatz cable( purchased from member whatsthegoodword)

I had it dyno at 350+rwhp on pump gas with 14.5 lbs of boost and according to the trap speeds it makes 400+rwhp on race gas.

It has ran a 12.2x @113mph at Lebanon Valley dragway on street tires and is currently #7 in the Twin-Turbo Street Class on www.z32racing.com

Thanks a lot for having me on here.

Hi guys,

Thanks for nominating my car for this month. A few things about my Z. My TT was made in July of 89 which was the first production month for Twin Turbo Z's in North America. My Vin is 000366 so I have one of the earliest models to him the pavement. I bought it in April of 2006 in absolutely atrocious condition of which I will post more pictures at the end of this post. I did a full restore in the summer of 2007. She has a totally new paint job and interior has been redone. Recently a total overhaul of the engine has been done so she is basically new!

Engine Modification:

JWT pop charger
2.5" Specialty Z DownPipes
2.5" Downpipes
2.5" Stillen (Bull Nose) Cat Back
Stillen Intercoolers
555 cc Deatschworks injectors
JWT ECU upgrade

Rays Engineering Forged Aluminum Track wheels (22.5 lbs)
BF Goodrich KDW2 G-force rubber

New stock adjustable springs
Custom Tein . 6 inch drop springs

Custom Cut black soft leather interior

VOTING HAS NOW CLOSED!

And the winner is.....

#3 - Quinn Bannon's 1990 300zx (Z32) Twin Turbo!

Congratulations Quinn! And thank you for the detailed posts and photos of your 300ZX - I think it helped you get those all-important "swing votes"!

And of course, "thank you" to everyone who participated in this month's contest.

WOW! That was a tough competition, but congratulations to Quinn, who swept the field with a complete TKO of these tough competitors. Quinn, you beat the field with 100% more votes than any one of these other great cars got  That's a real achievement!

We got to see more pictures and hear more details about some of the hottest cars in our club ~ cool! And the way I figure it, these guys probably have more $ invested in aftermarket performance parts than I have in my car itself

Great work, all ~ thanks for sharing your beautiful Z cars with us once again.

(Now would be a good time for someone to echo Mike Englehardt's immortal words from months ago regarding this contest!)

Z Y'all Later ~
