This is neither a rave or a gripe. I just wanted to pass along an e-mail I received about a new storage facility in Hartford. See below:

Greetings,

I hope this e-mail finds the officers of the Connecticut Z Car Club well. Our names are Mike and Brandon, owners of Car Storage LLC, based out of Hartford County, CT. We are reaching out as an awareness to promote our new car storage facility. We accept all different types of cars and other motorized vehicles. We would love to meet with the Z Club to speak about our services. Is there any possibility for this? We greatly look forward to hearing back from someone within the organization.

Best Regards,
Mike and Brandon

The hairs on the back of my neck just went up. I have no idea what that means exactly... but I'd be very cautious if someone came up to me and said that they would like to store my classic vehicles for me. Show me your papers, certificates, permits, and proof of storage facilities insurance policy(and their limits). Would need to run a background on these guys. Sorry! I'm from New York.

Way too many questions to be asked. :? :o

Haha! I just had the same thoughts before I read your post, Howie. Evil minds think alike. :P

If these guys are willing to attend a meeting and give us a presentation on their credentials, they are *probably* trustworthy (did I just accuse perfect strangers of being trustworthy? :? ) We would have 100 questions for them about their insurance and fire suppression and bonding and access and security.....

Twenty years ago the original James Bond Aston Martin was stolen from a secure onion-skin layered security storage facility in the Boca Raton Florida airport during the summer of 1997. Security specialists had examined the site and determined it was nearly impossible to penetrate without inside help, giving it the highest possible security rating. The security guard site manager had been with the company many years and never taken a duty shift off, never even been late to duty. One night he took the shift off and the car disappeared. It has not been recovered.

I want to meet these guys and talk about my $1,000,010.oo 240z. Let's invite them to our next meeting?

Hi guys,

Let's not get carried away here. I'm just posting these notices for anyone that may be interested. If you have a priceless Z or other collectible, you should of course conduct due diligence before storing it anywhere. There may be folks in our club who just want to store ordinary cars and are looking for such facilities. As an example, I am currently storing a car for my boss and was seeking this type of business last Fall. Let's not suggest that any vendor is incapable of providing professional services until we have a reason to do so.

Hopefully winter is done and we can soon get those Z's out!
