I took my 72 240z out over the past two days for 200+ miles of driving for the first time since I got the car back from Vinny. LOL my first trip was on Friday to Vinny's shop and back. The car performed like a champ with no issues at all thanks to Vinny's handiwork. Early this morning I pulled the car out and expected at least one leak underneath... nada. I went out on 95 and back roads all day in the beautiful weather. I laughed every time my old Z pulled strong past some slow poke on nasty old 95. My car cruises at 75 mph easily. (Sidebar I didn't realize my speedo was off by +5 mph due to the 5 speed upgrade until the end of the day.... :D )

I am the second owner of my car which means that it literally needed everything... I thought I could do the work myself in the beginning so I dug into the old engine and front suspension before quickly getting in over my head.

Vinny set my car up just right. With his extensive (40+) years of race and street tuning experience Vinny recommended a setup that he thought would make the car fun to drive. Vinny did the full suspension including pulling, inspecting, refurbing and upgrading everything. I left the stock rear diff, upgraded the transmission and front brakes. Vinny knew exactly which parts would do the trick from the bushings to powder coating to safety.

Vinny also took a quick look at my grimy old engine and agreed with my desire to replace the engine. Vinny scavenged the old beast for parts, stripped the engine bay repainted it and got everything back in working order.

At this point I have to say that I consider Vinny to be a trusted friend. I learned a lot working with him on the various aspects of this project and I highly recommend his work.

A BIG, BIG AMEN to all of the above.
For a 510 or an early Z, and probably many more, VINNY IS DA MAN.

I couldn't agree more! I am a steadfast BEDINI customer. He built my car like it was his own. I can't say enough about him.

Look at it this way ~ he was the ONLY mechanic trusted to refurbish the very first 240Z sent for sale to the USA! That should say it all.
