No I haven't found any. I'm venting actually.

We have all seen early Z cars sell for just ridiculous money lately, and the market seems to just keep going. It's not surprising to me that Z cars are hot, they always have been special and desirable. My dad told me all about how back when they were new, if you wanted one you gave your deposit and your name went on a list. You got whatever Z was delivered next based on the order of the list, they were in high demand.

So WHY THE HECK are there STILL no sources for full quarter panels, doors, etc? Datsun fans have been having to hunt hard to find parts down and just do their best with whatever we can scrounge up to restore our Z's. Wouldn't you think by now there would be better support for early Z cars in terms of all things restoration, but at the very least proper body sheet metal?

There have been Chinese fenders and hoods occasionally. Floor pans and frame rails are available from Big Dog. The rear panels are a real problem. Unless you can find fiberglass body kits, you pretty much have to find a donor car to hack up. If your 260 had rolled down the hill nose-first, you could have been driving it again already.

Probably could.

What I found in the nearly two years I looked for used panels was that when you find them they are already on a good car.
