A friend of mine just picked up this low mileage ZX, I wanted to share it with you all. He said it is even nicer in person than the photos show, amazingly original and in very good shape. It was a Georgia car for at least most of its life, possibly all of it. He said it runs really well and drives beautifully, just the way a Z should.

I really liked the luxurious velour interior on those cars.
It's good to see he got the stick instead of the auto trans. His car might have that unusual clutch ant-theft system. I don't remember how that worked exactly, but if you didn't do the right thing you couldn't depress the clutch, or something.

I'm impressed by the shape the interior of this is in, I'm assuming it must have been garage kept.

He didn't mention anything about the anti theft mechanism, maybe it doesn't have it? Or maybe it was disabled at some point?

I've only had experience with it on one ZX car, and it was so long ago I don't recall what the specific requirement was. I do remember there was no possible way a mere mortal man (or King Kong) could depress the clutch, even using two feet.
It was a parts car and, because we didn't have the code or all the keys to it, we completely drained the clutch cylinder in the attempt to allow the pedal to fall so we could move the car onto the trailer. Something like that.
I'll have to ask Paul in RI how that system worked. I know I found it in the owner's manual, but we didn't have the right key to disarm it. Weird.

I've been into Z's, really cars in general since I was little. Like 2 years old little. I remember there was a 240z in a carport near my grandparents house for most of my childhood. It was really in rough shape but they are so cool looking it didn't matter. Looking back I think it was either a parts car or an abandoned project, but I could not go past that house ever without taking a look at it. I remember thinking I'd really be lucky if I ended up owning one someday, not knowing that I actually would. I was very lucky to be able to do that, and I'm thrilled it's being restored again even if it's not mine anymore.

I'm pretty sure Z fever is a part of who I am, even if I never manage to own another.

The ZX I'm sharing here now belongs to a good friend of mine, who's a car collector. He takes great care of his cars, and he drives and enjoys them. He also requires my assistance with the driving tasks from time to time as there are getting to be too many for one person to run. Fortunately for him I'm a good friend so I make sure I can be counted on to help.

I'm looking forward to taking a drive in this one at some point.
