With no sand or salt on the roads and a clear 55 degree February 24th, I just had to take the Z out for a quick joyride. I had just replaced the front brake pads, installed new S.S. front caliper bridge lines, changed the oil and oil filter, greased the front end and repacked the front wheel bearings.... so why not take her out for a test drive?

I'm still amazed at how well this 49 year old car with just under 193K miles runs. She pulls hard in all 4 gears and still puts a smile on my face. I love the fact that I can still enjoy driving and maintaining this wonderful car. And to the person that recently bought that beautiful green '71Z for a whopping $310K, I think he got his money's worth!

Can't wait for spring!

Yowsa, yowsa, yowsa. I completely agree with everything you said.

I took mine out this past weekend and came home smiling, too. Wonderful cars.

I suggest we organiZe a brief road trip with others if the weather holds. I have heard from several guys who are wanting to take a cruise before they spray salt on the roads again.

Frank and John, John and Frank...gotta maintain political correctness!

Love your enthusiasm! I too have been tempted to bring Noraleen (yes, there's a song) out of her place in the garage. All it takes is a phone call to an 800 number and it's a go. Patience won out and I decided to wait a couple more weeks. Insurance companies don't cotton to yoyo decisions. I'm watching long term weather predictions closely. Mid March-early April seems eons away!

If you decide on a spring run to anywhere...I'm in!

Alan

Good hearing from you Alan!

I took the Z out again today for a short run and topped off the tank. She's ready for the good weather. I'll post a notice for a spring run as soon as the weather breaks for spring. BTW, there are lots of potholes that need repairing right now! :x

If there is anyone else interested in a spring fun run, don't be shy.....post it!
