Nissan North America today leaked the first photos of the new 50th Anniversary Z car scheduled for release in 2020!

Citing a strong heritage of racing prowess, comfort and controllability, NNA announced the radically-new 50th Anniversary model will represent the ultimate in acceleration, maneuverability, unrivaled driver visibility and glass-smooth ride quality. The internal gyroscopic GPS system can take the new Z safely to any destination you chooZe without driver input, or a flick of the "SPORT" switch allows you full hands-on control to make use of the new Z's incredible performance capabilities.

Full specifications are not yet released, but we do know the power plant can push the new Z from 0-100mph in less than a second, and operate for more than four years on a single fuel cell. Following in the tradition of the 300zx revolutionary 'Super HICAS' steering which aided cornering and parallel parking, the 2020 Z now has the capability of hovering above an open parking space and safety dropping into it completely on autopilot. The Z will be offered in both 2-or-4 place configuration, with automatic or constant-variation manual gear options, and the unique ANSA exhaust system gives the new Z a sound which Nissan only described as being "out of this world". Standard equipment includes full driver and passenger Integrated Life Support Systems for use in alternate climates, altitudes and atmospheres. The owner's manual is 16 individual volumes of hardcover books, each over 500 pages long.

The 2020 Z will be sold only in two-tone paint schemes. The upper half of the machine can be had in the buyer's choice of 22 different colors, but the underside of the new Z will only be available in what NNA calls "NoSeeum" "Invisible" paint. Nissan claims there are more than 1,000 pre-production units being tested in North America already, but they're just really hard to spot.

Scheduled for release from all NNA showrooms in January 2020.

(Oh Gawd, is winter over yet?) :(
