My 1994 300ZX convertible has over 104,000 miles on the original shocks and springs. I think I need to replace them. Any expert suggestions? I'm never going to race it, only interested in a good ride. There are about a million choices on the web and I'm confused.
Thanks

Hey Mike, my "new" 80 with 118k is still original below. Rides and handles amazingly well. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Just "enjoy the ride". Tom

The shocks I would replace, unless your ride height is off. That can only be measured on a very flat surface, center of wheel well. If one is a quarter inch off then I would consider replacing springs. You can go with Motorsports, or go to Rock out for the shock, and KYB would be good for you purpose. $50 each You can spend more for adjustable ones about $80. Bilsteins if you can find them, about $120 each. The misconception about shocks, is they can feel ok, but they're not. 30,000 miles is usually their lifespan. So you can be riding along thinking your shocks are ok, but then you wonder why your tires are cupping causing road noise. Now you need new tires too.
