I've finally done it again, I sold my 92 Bmw e30 convertible on Sunday and brought this little baby home yesterday, Tues, 1980 2+2 5speed with 113k. I'm officially back in The fold and brought my z ownership quotient up to 17 units now. We'll see if I still have it for the next chili dog bash. Anyway I am back.. Tom Wasney

Yeah, I wish Frank. Cars and coffee events are coming up soon in New Canaan ct.. Always an amazing turnout of really cool stuff. Have seen a few z cars there with ctzcc stickers on them, I just put the little window sticker on mine that I got a few years back.still makes me proud to have it prominently displayed.

For those of you who haven't yet met Tom Wasney, he is a Z-character thru and thru. He joined the CTZCC almost exactly 10 years ago (next month, I think) and this is his 17th Z car. He is member number 23 (pretty sure that's right) and faithfully attended every monthly meeting and event we held for about 8 years. He drove in from Eastern NY state, often in concert with his partner in crime, Mike Engleheardt (who is another story all his own). Tom probably has more wrench time on Z cars than Carter has little liver pills and can tell you experiences which will make you wonder why he doesn't work on Zs for a living. He is a great champion of the annual Rinebeck NY car events and has probably never missed one.

Something inexplicably weird happened a few years back and Tom got bitten by the German and Scandinavian car bugs and started buying strange heavy cars with unpronounceable names. He sold his 16th Z to another Clubby and showed up to a few events driving German Steel, then disappeared over the horizon for a few years. Today he showed back up in his 17th Z.

Tom once won 1,000 free hotdogs at the Annual Fall Outing picnic by winning a secret contest he didn't realize was happening. He ate about 3 doZen of them, watched Mike Englehardt eat another 3 doZen and shared the rest with the other members.

I hope to Zee Tom (and Mike, if he can still be found) back in the fold this year. Tom will be all over almost any Z event we can deviZe like white on rice. He is known by every Z club from Rochester to Boston. Introduce yrslf to Tom at your first opportunity.

Frank

I could have sworn that I spied Tom at the last Fall Outing.

...or maybe it was his body-double.
