I took the Z out early this morning and had a blast. Temperature was perfect at 72* with no humidity, bright sun with gentle breeZe. Traffic was light and I had the dry roads almost completely to myself. Not a cop in sight. The Z ran flawlessly and I shifted @7,000rpm every throw. I even slid the car smoothly around a couple corners. I had half a tank of fuel to spend and all morning to myself. As I flew around a bend on a 2-lane backcountry road, I saw a smiling, chestnut-haired country girl in a halter top hitchhiking ahead.

Just as I was pulling over, the alarm rang and I woke up.

Let me guess... Tom Petty's "Runnin' Down a Dream" was playing over the airwaves the entire time.

Those are the type of Dreams you have this time of the year when that Z fever sets in. To much time without the Z can cause psychological disorders.

As Mammy Yokum used to say, "That's the facts of life, Son". Probably just as well y'all woke up, Frank. You don't need to get involved with all that 'splainin'. Just be satisfied with the way the Z handled! At 7000rpm you had your hands full anyway! What's a halter top?
I'm sure you were wearing your Capp!

I would send you some pictures of halter tops, Alan, but this is a family website.

And the clever dig on Al Capp wasn't lost on me. 8)

I can see what withdrawal does to normally "rational" people. That was quite a dream Frank.
Hope you guys don't have another weather encounter this week.

I just brushed up on the latest, 2+2's are reproducing. Good to see two of them in such nice shape
and I agree ...... did I say that? ..... with Frank regarding the probable likely hood of them being less
abused and less used.

Hi to all .....
Jack

That little beauty was then-18-y/o Czech model Paulina Porizkova. She's 52 today and still a knockout. Cars lead singer Rick Ocasek married her shortly after "Drive" was recorded and they have been together since 1986. They have made much kids.

BTW, that first car shown (the bridge car) is the fabulous 2dr 1961 Facel Vega by Michelotti. It sported a 365bhp dual-quad Chrysler Hemi and a French automatic transmission. Leather, teak, Borrani chrome spokes and 146mph top speed. It was the first car I tried to buy when I moved here to CT.
