How about a timing belt and water pump on my 1985 300zx n/a Rich? I'd be willing to run it up to you if it can be done in one day.

Hi Howard,

I wish we could complete it in one day, however, antique cars need to be "massaged" as we work on them and often have additional unknown things that need attention.

The Z31 is no exception to this and we would need it for a couple of days most likely in order to give it the proper care.

Please call or email us to discuss scheduling options.

Wow, Frank, that's one hell of an offer bro. It's greatly appreciated, and way over the top, but I would most likely rent a car trailer to tow behind my SUV for the trip up (just like I did when I bought it in Wolcott in 2014) and then again for the day I'd be picking it up. Right now it's just a thought that came to me when I read the posting from Rich about his discounted winter offer. Do belts dry out while hanging on the wall waiting to be bought? :? Can timing belts lay on a shelf for, let's say 15-20 years and then be used in Z car? Does a belt dry out faster "just hangin' around" or while it's in service? Does not being exposed to the cold winter snow and ice/rain factor in the equation? I just don't know and don't know if anyone can give a definitive answer. It's one of those "dammed if I do and dammed if I don't" situations. Has 5,000 miles on this timing belt been good for its unknown condition or detrimental? Do I, can I go another 5G before changing the belt? Just more questions with no answers. Only the Z G-ds know the answers... and they're not communicating with me. lol. :(

Rich, I'm still debating if my 34,000 original miles car, that had the timing belt (+) done by Nissan @ 29,000 miles, in 2004 and has always been kept in a heated garage, actually requires changing (because of the "suggested" 60,000 mile/or 10 year interval). I'd appreciate your thoughts on that Rich. Feel free to pm me if you prefer.

Thank you Z brothers.

Howard J
