Hi Guys:
I have been working the past several months with Mr. Uemura and Mr.
Motomura in Japan. Mr Uemura had written his story about the Engineering
Development Phase, of the creation of the DATSUN 240Z , and it was published
in Japan. Mr. Uemura wanted to get the story published in English for the
many American Z Car Enthusiasts that bought and loved the Z.

Mr. Uemura was a Principle Design Engineer, in charge of the Engineering
Development Phase - bringing the Z car from Concept and Clay Models - to
physical form. Mr. Motomura was one of the younger Engineers that worked
on the design the Z Car's suspension. (they are still friends to this day).

I am happy to say we have accomplished the goal of producing an English
Language Edition, and making it available here in the US (and to other
English Speaking people around the world). You can now order a copy (or 10,
there is no limit ) on-line at Lulu.com. $12.95.

Wonder why Nissan didn't undercoat the early Z's to help prevent rust?
You'll find out why.
Wonder why Nissan wanted the Z to weight less than 2300 lbs? You'll find
out why.
Wonder where that $3500.00 MSRP came from? You'll find out where.
Wonder why it is the "Z Car" and not the "F" Car - -You'll find out why.
Aerodynamics? What Happened?
Early Road Tests in the US- problems, what problems?

OK - so here is the link to the order page - buy early, buy often and buy
a Bunch - get a few copies for your friends as well (Christmas is coming up
- handily gifts for any Car Nut).

Follow the link to Lulu.com - and place your order today - just so you
don't forget about it, it's only $12.95.

HOOORAAYYY! :D
*FINALLY* we get Carl Beck interested in helping produce some books about our beloved Z cars! :D
I've personally been harping at Carl for years to write his own book. He's probably the individual American who knows most about the Z and he has a huge inventory of inside back-stories which we cannot get elsewhere. His busy life has so far prevented him from sitting down and dictating all he knows to some industrious writer, but maybe having helped in this project will stir him into action.
Everybody in the Z community knows about Carl and any book he ever writes about Zs is sure to become an instant overnight sell-out. He's forgotten more about Zs than most of us will ever learn in our lifetimes. It would be absolutely outstanding to have Carl's knowledge put into print.

Frank
