Yup, t'is true. For those who haven't heard yet - This is the car seen in Wayne Carini's Chasing Classic Cars on Velocity. I think this one may have been just a wee bit inflated with the Carini-fancy-auction-limelight factor. I could see a very original super low mileage 240z or a factory restoration program 240z going for this kind of money, but a big bumper 2+2? Wow. Well sold.

I could own a drivable Maserati 3500GT for that money. Or a mechanically excellent '56 Austin Healey 100-4, and still have enough money left over to make it cosmetically perfect. Or a Vincent Black Shadow. Or a garage full of original Studebaker Avantis and GT Hawks.

Or send my kid to graduate school.

This should probably boost the value of my own Z by at least twice.... 8)
