Anyone had experience of using this company???????
They are MUCH lower in price than my current insurer, and are willing to quote with 2,500 miles per year pleasure use.

One of the better deals in Z insurance (any classic car, actually). Good rates, mutually-agreed car value, and generous usage terms. They require you to send them a picture proving your Z is garaged, and you convince them of how much you feel your car is worth.

The owner/founder is a classic car guy himself, who felt insurance companies just didn't care enough about classic cars. His idea was that classic car owners are FAR more careful with their machinery than common daily drivers are, and they are more mature and therefore far less risk than others.

A potential problem exists if you collide with another classic at a show or Z meet. Hag is so popular, many people use them. Therefore, your chances of colliding with another Hag customer is fairly good. Two vehicles insured by the same company are seldom satisfied with the outcome.

I'm using American Collectors Insurance and their rates are pretty low. I'm paying $150 annually for my 280z based on a car value of $6,500 and mileage limit of 2,500. Rates jumped up by $100 when I added my son.

I use Hagerty and its costing me around 250.00 for an agreed value of 15k.
The prior owner had American Collectors and it was slightly less but I have a 1mill umbrella that causes me to up the basic liability 300-500k which brought total up.

 They all require you to have another car. I only put on ~5000 miles a year but I have to get regular passenger car insurance which is $150 a month!

Ive been an anngelll. With my 260Z I was paying $250 a month with progressive when I was 17/18 and now it just dropped to $130 on my on year anniversary when I was 18/19. Good news is If I pick up a project I can insure it for pennies

I'm also with Hagerty and pleased with the coverage and premium. Thankfully no claims! A fully restored Series 1 car was totaled in Houston in 2012, insured with Hagerty and settled for the full insured value without questions (mid 20's I think). He bought back the hulk for salvage and made some good $ parting it out.

As pointed out above, you must already have a DD for EACH licensed driver in the home. The collector car must be garaged. No other limits on miles or usage in my contract - as if my little garage queen is going to be out running around that much!

I just put in an application for the z and the MG. I have a few dings on my record, so hopefully I get in. $406/year was the quote for both cars.
