Well ladies and Gents, after 14 months of non stop restoration efforts, we finally fired up the BSR Tribute 510 on the 3rd of April for the first time.. We only ran the engine long enough to check oil pressure and fuel pressure before shut down as we still needed to button up our cooling system.. April 4th we fired up for the second time with our cooling system intact and working and brought temp up to 160 degrees before shut down and leak checks.. We did find several issues that needed correcting the biggest of which was a pin hole leak in our fuel feed line from the tank.. Today, April 5th we installed SS Braided fuel line to replace a section of the feed, and fired up and brought to full temp for tune.. We spent the rest of today making adjustments all day long,, Brakes, Clutch, Carbs, Timing, steering box, and rear camber adjustment as well! Our Turbo 280ZX starter was really a pleasure to have on this 2 liter engine as well as the 240Z alternator, and 240Z R180 3.90 rear! After each adjustment today we had to take another test drive, and I know I had plenty of thumbs up going through the neighborhood! I'm hoping to be able to test drive up to Danbury from Philadelphia by the end of this month and visit RDZ Motorsports with the car, so I'll keep you all posted!
