With the nice weather this weekend I got the itch to uncover the 240 and see if it would start. First I had to dig out the snow piled up next to it. :x
I used Stabil in the fall so I knew the gas would be good.
I also charged the battery so that would be good too.
I set the choke to max and It turned over but nothing.
I took off the air cleaner assembly and sprayed some carb cleaner and tried it again.
It caught but died almost as fast.
I repeated it a few times then it caught and ran perfectly. :D
I set the choke to about 2k rpm and let it run for a while then set it to idle and let it get to temp.
I never actually tried the heater blower and to my surprize I had heat too.
I also never fooled with the Hitachi radio. It works and even has this cool scan mode.
The antenna switch and motor are working but it's not going up.
It's a common problem.

In the fall I replaced the door frame pin switches for the interior lights and in the process broke the screws that hold the hood release bracket. I wondered why the left switch had two sets of contacts but now I know. There's a super annoying buzzer when the key is inserted and the door is open. Today I drilled out the bolts, retapped, new hardware and put everything back.
Now I have to get under and do the clutch and I'll be ready to roll.
