hDecideddone how's it been I know I haven't been on the forums in a long time, but here I am and I shall explain what I've been up to in the time I've been missing. For starters I had finished my Frankenstein 260z and played around with that for awhile until an offer came up for another car that I couldn't refuse. So in turn to get the money for this other car I had sold my beloved 260z and bought a 1984 Porsche 911 Targa, now given she wasn't in tip top shape aesthetically, she still was a Porsche and a 911 at that. I fell in love with the car when I first got it and bought it a week later only to find out that this was way too much car for me to handle and I didn't want to take the risk of dying. So I knew a friend who was willing to trade me a BMW for my porsche and in my irrational delusion decided to do the trade out of fear for the car. The bmw was a nice car, a 2002 Bmw 330i 5 speed in tip top shape and was a comfortable car suited for every day use. Well as it turns out that BMW ended up saving my live when I had gotten into an accident, so it was a wise call on my end to trade the porsche for it. Then later on I spoke with a guy named Kris who I had met when I went to sell my 260z by coincidence and asked him about a datsun he told me he had that was a BSR package car that he had gotten a long time ago. He then sent me the pictures of the car and I though that it would be an excellent starting point for a next project. Oh yeah and I had gotten my uncles 79 corvette as a graduation gift but had to ship it over from California.

You GRADUATED??!!!
Wow, no moss grows on your stone. Glad to hear from you (finally).

SO! You're an Airbag survivor, huh? Did it knock you silly when it exploded in your face? I know many Airbag stories ~ actually glad my Z doesn't have one.

Would you want to share the BMW crash story, or is it too embarrassing?

I owned a Porsche as a kid (a 1959 356) but it was a mess. Traded it for an Austin Healey.

The '79 Vette is a 350, maybe?

PleaZe tell us what you know about the '72 240?

Welcome back.
Frank

The Crash story was a rather bad miscalculation on my end, I was coming home from college classes going 40-45 in the wet on a local road when I hit a patch of leaves and lost control of the car and slammed into a tree (it was a road where they were relatively close to the road). I walked away from the crash but it shook me up pretty bad and I've have a fear of losing control every now and then while driving. Yes sir the 79 corvette is a 350 sbc with the l82 engine option so should put out a whopping 225hp -_- but I've been looking at swapping it over to an ls motor or supercharging the 350 it already has. The porsche left a really strong impression on me and made me want another one afterwards haha (preferably a 964.) And I really don't know much about the 240z other than it was an old school race setup done at the BSR shop and was a frequent SCCA racer with all the log books and receipts to prove it. The owner also told me about another z project he's been working on that when done would get about 300whp, didn't tell me most of the specs other than an n42 head, 81 L28 block, and a special crank he had made.

I like the Mix of cars in the driveway, despite condition, a true Car Guy. 8) Reminds me of my Driveway awhile back, with a few Z's, a Porsche and a Jag. What's with the Zx sittin there?

Thanks haha! The zx was a 79 parts car that I had scored for 300 bucks with everything functional, she was the z that kept on giving. :D
