Also a Porsche 914 being worked on in the same lot which I have always kinda liked. A lot of these cars "have owners" but theyve spent the past few years (4+!) just sitting outside. Im sure it would be pretty easy to snag a few of them if the shop lets them know youre interested. Better to make some money rather than own something that you never see and will only continue to deteriorate. More of the XK140. There are a couple on hemmings in what seems to be similar condition going for around 15k.

Lots of spare parts and engines in that lot too. Probably the only place in Stamford where you can go to find maserati V8s and other V8s and V12s just sitting on the floor outside.

["I think the only other Z that can pull me away from the S30 is the Z31"]

Happen to have an excellent example of one of those becoming available this week, too. 8)

Tom Wasney's well maintained old Z31 was sold to a guy whose life and family matters overwhelmed him and hardly got to drive the car after he bought it. It is coming up for resale this week and Tom knows all the B,S,& T he put into that car to make it so nice. Tom is on a Volvo kick right now so he doesn't have enough room to take his old sweetheart back (I offered it to him, first). You might be interested in that.

I always liked the Jaguar 420's, sorta like a spy mobile. Out of my rang, so I will settle for a XJ6 for now. Looking to sell Lexus next spring for one. It's about even swap in Price. About $3 g's you can have one. 1996, my favorite year......that I can afford. because I can't tap into the fund that might just get me my favorite, the XJS, 1996, last year, convertible. Hopefully in another year. I decided one Z is enough, there are so many other cars I like.......foreign mostly, that I will ponder into. BTW, XJR will do. I like the pics. so far, keep er up.

Our member ZJustinZ has a Z31 "project" for sale. He's got his asking price down to 1000 on Craig's List

The car hasnt sold yet guys  but I do really like ZJustinZ's car.

Today I went with Zorro and another friend to sell Zorros 260Z. Along the way we stopped at this rest stop:
Image

A man by the name of Kris stopped by to talk to us about our Z's. Apparently hes been to a few of the club meetings and owns a 240Z worked on by Bob Sharp Racing and won many races and 280Z that he sandblasted and rebuilt (if I remember correctly). After our rest stop we recordedthis video

The new owner knew what he was doing:

As they checked out the Z's we checked out two of their other cars. Daphne and the Hulk encounter....

An MG GT!

The 260Z maiden voyage with the new owner. After friending him on facebook, it turns out were the same age and even have the same birthday! Told him about the ctzcc and will remind him about the fall outing

Met another Z owner today! Someone told me about a Z behind a sewing shop in Norwalk so I decided to check it out. Talked to the owner for a bit and then gave him the info for the fall outing this weekend. I feel like Ive seen the car on craigslist before, its a blue 240Z with a blue interior and had a lot of rust on the hood. The Z im thinking of had an engine bay fire so it still could be the same car. No camera with me today so no pics :(

Nice! I can't wait to see the new corvette in person. I like seeing it next to your Z. It gives the car scale. It is a little smaller than I was picturing in my head.

My Z also might be a little taller than the average 240Z but ill be able to verify this tomorrow 8). Only thing I didnt like about the vette is the paint, but I never liked any recent (C4-C7) corvette in red. The paint seems plasticky, cheap, and had no depth, but the blue looks muuch better. FYI this was at Karl Chevrolet in New Canaan. I heard that only 950 dealerships had gotten the C7 so far, 2000+ were still waiting and each C7 only stayed on the lot for 5 days or less.

I went to high school in Greenwich so Maseratis dont really impress me as much as they should. Looks like Daphne is getting into fights in the parking lot. She came home with a black eye the other day

Im testing out the black headlights but I ran out of PB blaster and couldnt get the remaining screws off the other headlight. Saw all these cars after I picked up another can and went to fill up. Also found this RX7 Vert the other day:
