People here are flabbergasted. Seems sometimes they cannot believe what they see. It happened that a driver who came in the opposite direction stopped, made a U-turn and followed me nose to tail to sneak a peek of the logo. Others ascertained beyond doubt: hey, Datsun, this famous british brand. Others think, it's a Ferrari (no joke, happened). Most of the people say: oh yeah, an old Datsun. Its like six numbers in the lottery to see a 240z here on the streets but people know what they are speaking about, when my Z goes past.
And you always see a smile on peoples faces and on the driver's one.
Driving a Z - a heaven on earth!

Hello, Helicopter!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGgKq5lB1hs

should of hidden the car cover but this was filmed in a hurry for my bro to get a taste of the z's sound.. didn't want to rev it though as I had just started the engine.

edit: sorry I don't mean to hijack the tread just coz I mentioned the sound on my earlier post..

oh yes I've seen that and it happened to be the first on the list! (now that I think it was actually pretty stupid question as I could've gone and have a look :) )
you've got a nice project there! what's the current plan apart from the turbo swap in the winter? are you going to keep the original color or have something else planned? enjoy working on your z, and keep posting your progress along the way!

:D

Mike's Z is a special car. It was silver color less than a year ago, but needed bodywork, so it then became sort of silver, and orange, and yellow and red, etc etc.

So Mike got inventive and painted it Gothic Black. Now it looks 'dangerous' (I love that description!). It sort of reminds me of the Millennium Falcon

We all love this car, and it sounds AWESOME with those dual pipes on it! It's great to have a Z with character!

Frank

I didn't realize the black one was the same car! awesome! your z rocks. I can easily see some nice red or orange tribal type Z "tattooed" on the hood and with those dual pipes that car scaring the living **** out of all local Hondas.. :)
I would love to hear that engine sound! maybe we should start a z-engine-sound youtube group ;)

Well thank you guys! Yeah my Z started out as grey primer and light blue. Then new parts were added so it became blue and orange. Now it's all black primer. Future plans are for the Z to be blue again but more like an electric blue. And maybe 17's. Over the winter hopefully the suspension will be upgraded. I do have some YouTube videos.

Mike, there are some very similar roads where I live and this weekend will be the first that I get to enjoy them; I got the registration done an hour ago and I'm just so thrilled as the car has passed the technical control, has plates and insurance and I can finally drive without fearing the police.. :DDDD

The Z is a drug. An awesome drug!!! have fun driving those roads and you never know you still might get pulled over but not to get a ticket but for the officer to compliment you on such a beautiful car. :D
