Doing a little looking on E-bay for another Z, or possible restoration. I can't believe what some of these sellers are thinking? I see "Basket Cases" as I refer to them and these people are wanting BIG MONEY!! What do you guys think? Makes me look at my Pearl and feel pretty good about what I have.

i think you might find better prices on Craigslist. that's where i found mine. and i have seen some very decent examples. i posted one recently in the selling section. it's a 240z in boston looks to be in good shape. 1500 bucks.
i agree with you though. a lot of people think just because you put it on Ebay that you are going to get big money.

Well, I personally applaud big bucks for classic Z cars.
The whole scheme boils down to SUPPLY and DEMAND.

DEMAND: Everybody wants a Z, and most people would love to own an older classic Z.

SUPPLY: There are fewer and fewer classic old Zs remaining each year.

RESULT: Classic Z prices should be steadily climbing.

However, having said that, the reality of life is that hard times make owners lower their prices for quick cash. I hate to zee that happen (except when I'm buying! ) but it's becoming more and more prevalent.

Frank

That is true Frank each year I think value will climb but also the economy sucks so cars that wouldn't normally be in our price range are now very close. Which like you said I like that when I'm buying.
